Program Overview

This is one coherent curriculum featuring 20 units, each broken into clear, bite-sized tasks. Students learn real game mechanics from day one, including movement, collisions, scoring, timers, and levels. Skills build systematically from events and variables to logic, cloning, and custom "My Blocks". The course guarantees visible progress every class by shipping a new feature or mini-game each unit, and is designed as a soft landing to JavaScript.

How the curriculum progresses
  • Early Units (1-6): Getting started with coordinates, events, variables, jumping physics, and multi-sprite setups in games like Flappy Bee and Tower War.
  • Middle Units (7-14): Advanced concepts including projectile logic, 2-player inputs, checkpoints, and enemy patterns in games like Cannon Duel and Space Invaders.
  • Late Units (15-20): Complex systems thinking featuring AI behaviours, grid setups, custom block compression, and reflex duels in games like Smash Shooters and Totem Hunter.
